Dear Friends,

The Klein Competition has never been just a job for me, but more a calling and a great source of pride. I am writing to share that after 6 years as Executive Director, I will be leaving the organization in November.

It has been a joy. I work with a supportive and dedicated board of directors. I am inspired daily by the extraordinary talent, drive for excellence, and spirit of the exceptional young players we serve. I’m continually grateful for you—our colleagues, laureates, partners, loyal donors, and volunteers. Each of you have played a vital role supporting our mission to nurture the talents and careers of young string musicians.

I’ll assist during the transition period, to position the organization for new leadership and assure a smooth hand-off.  We won’t miss a beat! I’m not going far – I look forward to continuing my support of The Klein Competition as a donor and volunteer, as I return to my arts consulting practice.

Our board of directors has launched a search for a new Executive Director, who, supported by our newly adopted strategic plan, will chart a sustainable and vibrant course for the Competition’s next 40 years. I hope you will be a part of our bright future.  See you at the Klein!
